Women's Lacrosse takes down Emory & Henry for fifth straight win

EMORY, VA - Don't look now, but the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse team is on fire. The Bears took down Emory & Henry 22-4 to win their fifth straight game. This marks LR's longest winning streak since 2019. 

Hannah Thomas had herself a day, notching eight points on three goals and five assists. In total, six Bears picked up a hat trick.

  • Olivia Newton opened the scoring 20 seconds in the game with her third goal of the season.
  • Lenoir-Rhyne went up 8-0 after the opening period thanks to two goals from Alexa Burghardt and Abbey Walker.
  • The Bears continued to dominate the second period, going up 14-1 at the break thanks to an opening half hat trick from Jessica Mikesell.
  • E&H's Justyce Jones opening the second half scoring, but a Chloe Christensen goal sparked a quick 6-0 Lenoir-Rhyne run.
