HICKORY, NC - It was utter domination from the start on Saturday as the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team scored 16 goals in the first half and cruised to a 25-9 win over Tusculum on senior day. 17 Bears scored in this one, led by a hat trick from
Donovan Powell.

STORY OF THE GAME
- Donovan Powell and Richie Timothee got things going early with two goals in the first minute and a half of game time.
- Jarrett Huff picked up two goals and two assists in the first quarter as the Bears led 8-2 after one.
- Seven Bears scored in the second period as Lenoir-Rhyne took a 16-2 lead heading into the break.
- Tusculum only managed to get six shots off the entire first half.
- Evan Voss picked up his second goal of the day early in the third as the teams tied 3-3 on goals in that period.
- Ethan Petersen, Peyton gestole, and Connor Kruse pushed the lead to 22-6 in the fourth as the Bears cruised to the 16-goal victory.
STATS OF THE GAME
- Evan Voss led the way with six points off two goals and four assists.
- Jarrett Huff wasn't far behind with five points off two goals and three assists.
- Matthew Mancini was 12-14 on face offs, Justin Dietzel 7-8, and Reed Postletthwait 9-11.
- LR outshot the Pioneers 60-21 and held a 38-16 edge in shots-on-goal.
- Three goalies saw time in this one with Jack Burdge allowing just two goals in 30 minutes and Nick Floyd picking up five saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This marks the fifth consecutive 11-win season for the Bears.
- LR is now 13-0 all-time against Tusculum.
- Evan Voss' 93 assists place him third all-time in Lenoir-Rhyne history.
- This was just the fourth time the Bears have scored at least 25 goals in a game.
