HICKORY, NC - A record five Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball players were named to the NCBWA All-Southeast Region team, while Mackenzie Wainwright became the first LR Baseball player to ever be named Region Player of the Year. 

Wainwright, who was also named the SAC Player of the Year, leading the nation in hits and runs scored, as well as being in the national top-ten in six other categories. He is batting .424 with 98 hits, 89 runs, 71 RBI's 22 doubles, six triples, and 22 home runs. Also a strong base runner, he is 22-23 on stolen bases.

Joining Wainwright on the All-Southeast Region First Team was Cole Stanford, Owen Blackledge, and Sal Carricato. These three have combined for 51 home runs, 220 hits, 177 runs, and 175 RBI's, making up a bulk of Lenoir-Rhyne's potent offensive lineup. Starting pitcher Andrew Harlow was the lone Bear on the All-Region Second Team, as he currently sports a 9-1 record on the mound with a 3.53 ERA and 104 strikeouts. 

Lenoir-Rhyne placed the most individuals on the All-Region team with five, followed by four from Catawba and Young Harris.
