HICKORY, N.C. -- Facing their toughest test of the season, the Lenoir-Rhyne men's soccer team dropped a tight 1-0 contest to No. 1 Lynn on Monday afternoon. A goal in the 52nd minute from Dominik N'gatie was the difference in the game.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Bears' best opportunity came in the 27th minute when Raul Canas had a header saved by Lynn's Luca Clavero.
- Both team's struggled to find the back of the net and the teams went into the break tied at 0-0.
- Lynn snuck behind the defense in the 52nd minute to score what would be the deciding goal.
- Lenoir-Rhyne kept the pressure on in the second half, putting up four shots in the final 15 minutes, but couldn't find hte back of the net.
- This was a chippy game as there were 16 fouls and eight yellow cards, six of which were earned by the Bears.
- It was an evenly played game with Lynn taking a 10-9 lead on shots, while Lenoir-Rhyne led 4-3 in shots-on-goal.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lynn won the 2024 NCAA Division II Championship, defeating Charleston 3-2.
