Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne softball team got back to .500 on Wednesday with 9-1 and 8-0 victories over Erskine.
Madison Wilson and
Faith Carrigan didn't allow an earned run in eight total innings while
Madison Primm went 3-for-5 with three home runs and seven RBIs.

STORY OF GAME ONE:
- Lenoir-Rhyne went up 3-0 after one thanks to a home run from Madison Primm an an RBI single from Montana Honeycutt.
- The Flying Fleet plated one in the top of the second but RBIs from Avery Kiger and Alexandria Gray extended the lead to 5-1.
- Neither team scored in the third or fourth innings, and Erskine was held scoreless in the top of the fifth.
- Autumn Joyce plated a run in the bottom of the fifth and Primm ended the game with a walk-off three-run home run.
- Madison Wilson (3-1) got the win in the circle, allowing just three hits and no earned runs in the complete game victory.
STORY OF GAME TWO:
- The Bears scored seven runs in the first two innings to blow open the game.
- This included Madison Primm's third home run of the day, a two-run shot in the second inning.
- Kaylan Brown hit home Lenoir-Rhyne's eighth run of the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth.
- Faith Carrigan (2-2) got the complete game victory, striking out four in the process.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Bears have now won seven in a row against Erskine
- This was Madison Primm's second multi home run game of her career.
UP NEXT: The Bears will hit the road l to face Young Harris on Saturday. Young Harris is 8-6 on the season and 1-1 so far this year against SAC schools, defeating Emory & Henry but falling to UVA-Wise. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
