Young Harris, Ga. - The 1-2 punch of
Madison Wilson and
Faith Carrigan stayed hot as the duo each threw complete game shutouts for the second time this week, leading the Lenoir-Rhyne Softball to 3-0 and 4-0 defeats of Young Harris on Saturday.
In 24 innings of softball this week the Bears have failed to allow a run.

STORY OF GAME ONE:
- Madison Wilson was the story in this one as she spun a shutout allowing just six singles while striking out six.
- Lani Warren got the Bears on the board with a RBI single in the first inning and that is all Wilson would need.
- Bears got a couple of insurance runs in the 5th with an Autumn Joyce RBI double and a Madison Primm sac fly.
- Primm and Kaylan Brown had two hits apiece for the Bears in the opener.
STORY OF GAME TWO:
- This was a scoreless game until the Bears manufactured a single run in the fourth and fifth innings to grab 2-0 lead.
- Lenoir-Rhyne then got two insurance runs in the 7th as Avery Kiger had a two-run double.
- Faith Carrigan was equally impressive, nott allowing a run in the complete game shutout to earn the victory.
- LR only had five hits in the night cap with Autumn Joyce picking up three of them.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Bears have now won five in a row against Young Harris.
- LR is also 5-0 all-time at Young Harris.
- This was Joyce's second three hit game of her freshman campaign.
- This was Wilson's eighth career shutout and Carrigan's fifth.
UP NEXT: The Bears will travel to Barton on Wednesday afternoon for a double header. Barton is 6-4 after splitting a double header with Tusculum today. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 PM from Wilson, N.C.
