Lenoir-Rhyne falls to No. 9 Lynn

HICKORY, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne women's lacrosse fell 15-5 to #9 Lynn on Friday evening. 

Anneleise Meyer led the Bears with two goals while Keegan Hudspeth caused three turnovers.

STORY OF THE GAME
  • Lynn pened the scoring before Addie Hale tied things up with her second goal of the season. 
  • The Fighting Knights went on to score 11 of the next 12 goals to pull away. 
  • The Bears got goals from Hannah Thomas, Anneleise Meyer, and Jessica Mikesell in the fourth quarter.
STATS OF THE GAME
  • Sally Friesen made 11 saves in the loss.
  • Lynn out-shot the Bears 37-15 and held a 13-10 edge in draw controls.
  • The Bears had solid shot accuracy, scoring on five of their seven shots on goal.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
  • This was the first ever meeting between the two clubs.
  • Lynn was coming off a ranked win over No. Adelphi last week.
NEXT UP: The Bears will take on their third ranked team in a row to start the season when they host #21 Seton Hill in Hickory on Monday. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
