HICKORY, N.C. - Kaylan Brown's walk-off RBI single in the 10th inning of the night cap highlighted the Lenoir-Rhyne sweep of visiting Southern Wesleyan on Saturday. The Bears won 5-4 in 10th inning in the second game after winning 8-1 in the opener.
The victories also extends the Bears winning streak to eight games as
Avery Kiger crushed her third home run of the season and
Autumn Joyce had the first four hit game of her career in the opener.
Adriana Lamantia picked up three hits each game and was 6-for-7 on the day.

STORY OF GAME ONE:
- The Bears 31 innings scoreless streak came to an end in the first inning when the Warriors grabbed an early 1-0 lead.
- The lead did not last long as Autumn Joyce led off the bottom of the first with a home run.
- Lenoir-Rhyne added a pair of runs in the second and third innings before putting up a three-run spot in the sixth.
- Avery Kiger finished the scoring with a two-run home run in that three-run sixth.
- Joyce had her first career four hit game in this one as the freshman finished 4-for-4 and was just a triple shy away from the cycle.
- Madison Wilson went the distance in the circle, allowing just two hits and one run while striking out eight.
STORY OF GAME TWO:
- Each team scored an unearned run in the first inning to start the night cap.
- The Bears then used another Warrior error to add two more runs to take a 3-1 through four.
- Southern Wesleyan scored single runs in sixth and seventh to tie the game at three a piece.
- After each team scored in the eighth inning, the Bears walked it off on a Kaylan Brown single in the 10th.
- Faith Carrigan got the start and went 6 1/3 inning in the no decision.
- Madison Wilson then came in relief to earn her second victory of the day, allowing just one unearned run in 3 2/3 innings.
- The duo combined to strikeout 15 Warriors in the night cap.
- Brown and Lamantia each had three hits for the Bears.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was just the second and third all-time meeting between this programs with the first meeting happening in 2003.
- Madison Wilson moves to 7-1 with a 1.53 ERA after her two wins tonight.
- Wilson also won her 44th and 45th career games today.
- These were Adriana Lamantia's first and second career three hit games as the freshman is hitting .371 after today.
