COLUMBIA, S.C. - Two more records fell for the Lenoir-Rhyne Track & Field teams this weekend.
Mackenzie Pringle set a new indoor school triple jump record with a mark of 12.24m (40-2.00) and
Havyn Spain broke his own indoor 400m record with a time of 47.11 seconds. Pringle is now 11th in the nation with that leap while Spain ranks eighth.
"We really needed this meet," said Director of Track & Field
Bob Braman. "Some hit lifetime bests, but everyone competed hard and we regained the momentum we'll need with the SAC Championships coming up in three weeks."
Also having a big weekend was hurdler
Liam Sutton, who set a new lifetime best in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.14. This time placed him 7th in the finals and doubled as an NCAA DII provo mark. Long Jumper
Tobechukwu Nwokocha continued his extremely strong season with a leap of 7.41m (24-3.75), placing him second in the event.
Jani Day ran well in the 400m, taking 12th with a time of 57.63.
