DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The Lenoir-Rhyne women's lacrosse team dropped at 17-6 contest at #6 Embry Riddle on Wednesday. 

Kirra Olson led the Bears with three goals, her 18th career hat trick.

STORY OF THE GAME

• Embry Riddle scored four consecutive goal to open the game before an unassited score from Kirra Olson stopped the bleeding.
• The Eagles led 7-2 after one.
• There were just four combined goals in the second quarter and Embry Riddle went into the break ahead 9-2.
• Lenoir-Rhyne made it a five-goal game thanks to scores from Savannah Stallings and Kirra Olson.
• Embry Riddle answered by scoring six of the final seven goals of the game.

STATS OF THE GAME

• Kirra Olson (3g) and Anneleise Meyer (2g, 1a) tied for the team lead with three points.
• Kate Carter, Caitlyn Race, and Delaney Williams each caused two turnovers.
• Sally Friesen made eight saves in the loss.
• Lenoir-Rhyne was out-shot 30-15 and committed 22 turnovers to Embry Riddle's 18. 
• Neither team posted a failed clear.

NEXT UP: The Bears will stay in the Sunshine State on Saturday to take on #2 Florida Southern. The Mocs are 6-1 on the year and defeated Lander 16-3 last Thursday. The game is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. from Lakeland, Florida.
