WILSON, N.C. - The Bears' offense continued to stay red hot, delivering a 14-9 win at Barton on Tuesday afternoon.
Seth Christmas,
Matt Procopio, and
Drew Beard combined for seven hits and eight RBI's while
Luke Steward collected the win on the mound.
Lenoir-Rhyne is now 9-1 against non-conference opponents this season.

STORY OF GAME:
- The Bears jumped ahead early in the first inning thanks to three runs on three hits.
- Three consecutive RBIs from Drew Beard, Seth Christmas, and Matt Procopio gave Lenoir-Rhyne a 7-0 lead after two.
- The Bulldogs responded with four runs in the bottom of the third off two hits.
- A Conor Linkfield stolen base followed by Drew Beard's third RBI of the game pushed the Bears lead 9-4 in the 5th Inning.
- Barton exploded for their second four-run inning of the game in the bottom of the fifth, cutting the lead to one.
- Trent Murchison capitalized with the bases loaded in the 6th, singling to left center and scoring Sylas Boris and Nathan Kidder.
- Boris produced the games' only home-run in the 9th while Mackenzie Wainwright collected an RBI single to give the Bears two insurance runs leading.
- Barton cut into the deficit in the bottom of the inning but it was too late as the Bears held on for the 14-9 victory.

- Andrew Muraco and Trent Murchison combined for seven walks.
