HICKORY, N.C. - #11 Lenoir-Rhyne made a statement on Wednesday, taking down #3 Wingate 16-10 in a battle of two of the top teams in the country.
Tied at 5-5, the Bears closed the opening half on a 5-0 run to pull away. Goalie
Owen Peters made a Lenoir-Rhyne career high 14 saves in the win. He held The Bulldogs to their second lowest goal output of the season and well below their 17.63 goals per game average.
This contest replaced the game against Adelphi both teams lost earlier in the season due to storms in the northeast.
