HICKORY, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne picked up their 25th win of the year on Monday, taking down Georgia College 7-5.
Matt Procopio led the Bears by going 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a walk. Joining him in the multi-hit club was
Andrew Stillinger (2-for-3).

STORY OF GAME:
- Lenoir-Rhyne scored two runs in the first off an RBI double from Matt Procopio.
- The Bobcats scored one run in each of the first four innings to take a 4-2 lead.
- Procopio cut the lead to one in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI double, his third of the game.
- The Bears put up a four-spot in the bottom of the sixth to turn a two-run deficit into a two-run advantage.
- Mackenzie Wainwright hit a 2 RBI double to tie the game, which Drew Beard followed with a sac fly RBI.
- Wainwright scored on the sac fly thanks to a throwing error by the right fielder.
- Michael Burnley failed to allow a hit in the final three innings, clinching the win.
STATS OF GAME:
- Lenoir-Rhyne out-hit Georgia College 8-7 and walked nine times.
- The Bears hit five doubles.
- Preston Drebes (5-1) struck out five in three innings of work to pick up the win.
- Michael Burnley (S, 2) was nearly perfect in his three innings on the mound, allowing just one base runner on a walk in the seventh inning.

- The Bears lead the series 4-2 and last met the Bobcats in 2022.
- This was Matt Procopio's 17th multi-hit game of the season.
- This marks the fifth consecutive season the Bears have hit the 25-win mark, the first time in program history that has happened.
