STORY OF GAME ONE:
- Madison Primm and Alexandria Gray picked up RBI singles in the first to give LR an early 2-0 lead.
- The Braves scored all three of their runs in the 5th to take their first lead at 3-2.
- A bases loaded walk from pinch-hitter Montana Honeycutt tied the game at 3-3 with two-outs in the sixth inning.
- With two on, two outs, and a 2-2 count, Kaylan Brown laced a single down the right field line to give LR their 11th straight victory.
- Madison Wilson picked up another win, allowing three runs with seven strikeouts for win number nine of the year.
- LR only had six hits in the game led by a pair from Gray.
STORY OF GAME TWO:
- Lani Warren put the Bears up early with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first.
- Autumn Joyce continued the trend in the second, hitting a three-run bomb in the second to put the home side up 5-0.
- UNC Pembroke pulled on back off a home run in the top of the seventh but Faith Carrigan picked up three straight outs to seal the win.
- Carrigan (6-2) went the distance in game two, striking out four and forcing 13 ground outs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Lenoir-Rhyne now owns an 11-game win streak over UNC Pembroke dating back to 2012.
- Kiger's 16 game hitting streak came to end in game one today.
- Carraigan now has 245 career strikeouts
- Warren's home run was her 28th of her career.
