HICKORY, N.C. - Paul Toovalian tied a new career high with 11 strikeouts as Lenoir-Rhyne defeated Emory & Henry 4-1 on Friday evening. 

Prior to today's game head coach Adam Skonieczki was honored for reaching his 100th career win on Tuesday against Barton. 

Mackenzie Wainwright, Drew Beard, and Andrew Muraco all had multi-hit games to lead the Bears.

• Matt Procopio opened the scoring in the first with a groundout RBI to score Mackenzie Wainwright. 
• Drew Beard got himself an RBI on the next at bat thanks to a ground rule double.
• Emory & Henry cut the lead in half with a run in the fourth.
• Wainwright hit an RBI single to score Nathan Kidder in the bottom of that same inning.
• Beard hit an RBI triple in the fifth inning to score Lenoir-Rhyne's final insurance run.
• Toovalian, Preston Drebes, and Michael Burnley held the Wasps scoreless over the final five innings.
