Sumter, S.C. -  #15 Lenoir-Rhyne fell 4-1 to #7 Catawba in the South Atlantic Conference championship match on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears started off strong, winning the doubles points thanks to victories from Mehetia Boosie / Runa Muderrisoglu and Alexa Allison / Nellie Wahlberg at the #2 and #3 spots. Catawba responded by winning four straight-set singles matches to clinch the victory.

Following today's loss the Bears are 15-3 (10-1 SAC) and are in a great spot to qualify for their first NCAA Regional in program history. The selection show to announce the regional participants will take place on Monday, May 4th, on ncaa.com.
