HICKORY, N.C. - Mackenzie Pringle has been named to the CSC Academic All-America Second Team, as announced by College Sports Communicators on Wednesday. 

She joins Kate Griewisch (2x), Haylea Salamon (2x), Kylie Dahlberg (2x), and Whitney Heavner as the only Academic All-Americans in program history. 

Pringle, a transfer from NAIA Columbia College in South Carolina, took the SAC by storm this year. She won the Indoor and Outdoor triple jump at the conference championships, setting school records in both events. The only 2x First Team All-American for the Bears this season, Pringle placed sixth in the triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships and fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. In addition to her triple jump prowess, she also qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 100m hurdles, an event where she holds the second fastest time in program history. 

A management major, Pringle holds a 4.00 GPA. She is one of just three SAC competitors to be named an Academic All-American, joining Amber Lawless of Wingate (second team) and Qitarah Castlin of Tusculum (third team).
