JOHNSON CITY, TN -
Zoila Sicilia picked up right where she left off last season, as the defending NCAA DII National Champion won the ETSU Buccaneer Collegiate Cup Sprint Triathlon, taking home top finisher honors with a time of 27:36.38.
This was Sicilia's first race victory against a full field of DI and DII competition, as she defeated Costanza Antoniotti of Queens by a mere six seconds. Taking 10th with a time of 29:27.64 was
Agathe Claude, who begins her sophomore season on a high note.
Isis Gaskin joined Sicilia and Claude in the under-30 club, taking 12th with a 29:39.88.
As a team the Bears were first in the DII category and second overall, finishing behind Queens University of Charlotte.
