Hickory, N.C. - The Lincoln Memorial University Men's Soccer Team (5-3-2, 4-0) scored the match's final three goals and received a hat trick from Marcus Pinto (Uberlandia, BRAZIL) to down Lenoir-Rhyne University (4-6-1, 0-3), 4-1, Saturday night in a league match at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex.

After L-R forced a one-all tie on a goal from sophomore forward Chibuzo Nwosu (Macon, Ga.) at the 57:16 mark of the second half, Lincoln Memorial reeled off three straight goals to remain undefeated in the?South Atlantic Conference.

Pinto gave the Railsplitters a 1-0 halftime on a goal off a quick pass from Chris Nash (Cuffley, ENGLAND) at the 31:35 mark.

After Nwosu tied the score with a goal right in front of the net off a blocked shot, Pinto gave Lincoln Memorial the lead for good in the 66th minute.? Nash was credited with the assist on the game-winning goal as well.

Pinto assisted Nash in the 73rd minute for a 3-1 advantage before rounding out the scoring with a goal on a rocket shot from about 30 yards out that landed in the left side of the net.

Lenoir-Rhyne held an 18-14 advantage in shots taken?despite the setback while sophomore goalkeeper Stefan Dill (Southampton, BERMUDA) suffered the loss.

Lincoln Memorial goalkeeper Michael Watkins (Statesville, N.C.) allowed just one goal while saving two shots in picking up the win.
