Newberry, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University's Ismael Noumansana has been named to the 2016 D2CCA NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Men's Soccer First Team. CCA is the Conference Commissioner's Association.

Noumansana, a junior forward from Reims, FRANCE, led the Bears in both goals scored (17) and total points (35) and was named the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Player Of The Year. Noumansana was the school's first league most valuable player since Ged Quinn in 2006.

Noumansana, a two-time all-conference honoree (2015-16), led the Bears to a 12-5-3 record (7-3-1 in the South Atlantic Conference) and a berth in the Second Round of the NCAA Division II Playoffs. Lenoir-Rhyne was also making its first playoff appearance in 10 years.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education.

The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
