Box Score Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team took advantage of playing at home and dominated the Catawba Indians from start-to-finish, 4-1, on Wednesday night at the Moretz Sports – Athletic Complex. Catawba was ranked No. 8 in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional rankings that were released prior to tonight's contest, making this a big win for the Bears.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Lenoir-Rhyne took a quick 2-0 lead in the first 23 minutes of the contest thanks to goals from sophomore Hannah van Eerden (fourth of the year) and senior Claire Niebergall (third of the season). Junior
Aqsa Mushtaq (three on the year) and senior
Abbie Brown (eleven on the season) added one each in the second half as well to secure the victory for the Bears. The Indians managed to put one in the net as time was winding down in the 88
th minute thanks to Maddie Peck.
• The Bears managed to score their four goals on just 11 shots tonight. LR outshot their opponent, 11-8 (8-5 on goal) in the conference matchup.
• Senior keeper
Loren Sterling improved to 8-5-1, the same record as the team and accumulated four saves in the process. Shelby Thompson took the loss and added four saves to her save total as well.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• Niebergall has now scored in two consecutive games for Lenoir-Rhyne.
• With the win, the Bears find themselves in second place in the South Atlantic Conference standings, just three points behind Carson-Newman.
• This was the third time this season the Bears have scored at least four goals in a game.
