Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Team lost in a back-and-forth, five-set thriller with the Carson-Newman Eagles, 3-2, on Friday night (22-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-19 and 11-15). Three Bears managed double-digit kills in the match.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Recent South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week,
Angelica Arroyo once again led the Bears with a double-double effort including 17 kills to go along with 14 digs. Juniors
Jaclyn Denny and
Hannah Houston also added double digit kills with 13 and 11 respectively. Denny added a team-high five blocks as well.
• Marnie Streeter for the Eagles dominated, recording a double-double with 20 digs to go along with 12 kills. She was not the only Eagle with a double-double as Megan Oldenburger added 11 kills and 15 digs.
• Three Bears recorded 20+ digs:
Bailey Cloninger (21),
Alannah Thomas (24) and
Ashley Hawkins (28).
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• This was the seventh-straight match Arroyo has put up double-digit kills and her third double-double match of the season.
• The Bears will get a rematch at home with the Eagles on Nov. 2 in the Shu.
