Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Basketball Team played its second game of the Peach Belt/South Atlantic Conference Challenge, but fell at the hands of the USC Aiken Pacers on Saturday afternoon, 86-69.

• Lenoir-Rhyne had eight of their 13 participants score, with two in double figures – senior
Madi Suddreth with 25 and senior
Kendall Toineeta with 17.
• The Pacers made their big move in the second quarter, outscoring the Bears, 31-19. They were paced by Kwajelin Farrar with 30 points and Kyrie Chandler who put in 18 of her own.
• The Pacers kept an elite shooting percentage (50.8%) while LR stayed steady throughout the game at 43.3 percent.
• The Bears outshot their opponent at the free throw line, 72.2% vs. 68.8%, but the Bears did not convert on as many attempts.
• The Pacers were lethal from three-point land, hitting 13 of those while shooting 56.5% from distance.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Toineeta's scoring total was the most since her 25-point performance in the 76-70 loss against Catawba on Jan. 3, 2018 and the Cherokee, N.C. native just averaged 11.1 points per game in the 2017-18 season.
• Suddreth has averaged 21 points in the first two contests.
• This is the first 0-2 start for LR since the 2014-15 campaign.
