Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Men's Basketball Team shot their way to a fast start and coasted their way to a win in blowout fashion, 83-52, over the Southern Wesleyan Warriors on Tuesday night.

STATS OF THE GAME:

Djibril Diallo was nearly perfect tonight, stuffing the stat sheet and leading all scorers with 25 points on 10-of-11 shooting and was perfect from long range going 5-for-5 on the night.
• The Warriors' lone bright spot on a night where they shot 26.5 percent for the game was Jalen Lowery with 14 to go along with seven rebounds on the evening.
• The Bears played efficient basketball shooting 57.4 percent from the floor and had 10 different players added points to the scoreboard.
• It was nearly a dominant night in every category in the box score with the Bears holding the edge in points off turnovers (15-6), rebounds (41-26), bench points (34-23), fast break points (14-2), blocks (6-0), steals (8-7) and assists (20-9).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Diallo has the hot hand, scoring in double-digits and scoring his highest point total since his 27-point effort against Wingate in the 77-75 road victory on Jan. 10, 2018.
• LR's defense stepped up tonight, holding its opponent to the lowest score total since the Francis Marion 75-52 win on Nov. 12, 2016.
• The Bears are chasing their best start with three wins in-a-row since winning six-straight in the 2015-16 season.
