HICKORY, N.C. – The top-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team suffered a 2-1 loss against the Anderson University Trojans in the semifinal round of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• This one started quickly, with the first goal coming from LR's senior
Cameron Saul in the second minute, followed shortly by Anderson's Cameron Emerson in the twelfth minute and the two teams coasted until halftime. The pace continued until Harry Ward knocked in the game-winner in the 69th minute to secure the Trojans' spot in the SAC Championship game.
• The Bears were on the attack the majority of the contest, outshooting the Trojans, 16-10 and the shots on goal advantage went to the Bears, 8-7. LR showed its aggressiveness with seven corner kick chances compared to Anderson's two on the day.
• Alex Langer fell to match his team's record while picking up five saves in the game. The Trojans' goalie Gal Elyashiv collected seven saves while picking up the win for his team.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• Saul is now tied for second on the team in goals scored with seven, making his point total 18 for the season.
• Anderson swept the Bears this season, today and the regular season finale on Oct. 27 by a score of 2-1.
