STATS OF THE MATCH:
• The Bears seemed to have control and the tempo on their side the majority of the match, outshooting their opponent, 19-12, but when it counted late in the second half, Courtney Boyd knocked in the game-winner on a rebound shot in wet conditions to take the lead for good. One more goal was scored late to put the hope for an equalizer out of reach by Itzel Ballesteros.
•  Despite having the shot advantage, both teams had six of their own shots ruled on goal and both had ample opportunities to attack on corners with the Bears holding the slight 7-6 advantage. The Bears were unlucky as shots from Claire Neibergall and Amanda Macfarlane hit off the post.
•  Both Goalkeepers had their work cut out for them, as LMU's Ann-Marie O'Connell picked up six saves and the win in goal, while senior Lauren Sterling took the loss, but picked up four saves in the process.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• Going into the match, the Bears were ranked No. 2 in the SAC in scoring with 41 goals on the year.
• This was the second time this season that LR went head-to-head with Lincoln Memorial, and the Bears had already fallen once at home, 2-1, on Oct. 13.
• This was just the second time all year that the Bears have been shut out.

UP NEXT:
With the loss, the Bears will head home in hopes to hear their name called during the selection show on Monday. The show will begin in just three days at 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ncaa.com.
