Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Women's Basketball Team started hot and never slowed down, defeating the Winston Salem State Rams on Sunday afternoon in Shuford Gymnasium, 86-59.

Madi Suddreth returned to her normal offensive performance, leading all scorers with 22 points.
Kendall Toineeta flirted with a double-double effort, putting up 12 points to go along with the game-leading nine assists.
• The Bears were suffocating on the defensive end of the floor, holding the Rams to just 16-of-58 shooting (27.6 percent) while Lenoir-Rhyne was an impressive 32-of-62 (51.6 percent) on the afternoon.
• The home team put on a passing clinic, distributing 20 assists while the Rams only managed five. The bench for the Bears outscored the bench for the Rams, 33-19, while both teams scored in the paint with LR holding the 50-48 advantage in that category.
• Brionna Pate (17), Teara Johnson (13) and Amaya Tucker (11) led the Rams and all scored in double-figures.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Suddreth put up her second 20-point performance and her fifth double-digit scoring effort on the season. Toineeta keeps her hot hand going as she recorded her fifth-straight double-digit scoring performance.
• This win was the first in Shuford Gymnasium for the Bears in the 2018-19 campaign.
