PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Senior Cross Country runner
Domtila Kiplagat represented Lenoir-Rhyne on the national stage today, running a cold and wet 6k course in Pittsburgh at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships.
Kiplagat, a Kenyan native, was the South Atlantic Conference's Runner of the Year and qualified for Nationals by winning the individual crown at the conference meet. In a field of 264 of the best runners in all of Division II, Kiplagat finished 82nd. Despite falling short of All-American status, she was outstanding today as she was all season for the Bears.
Kiplagat's time of 24:17.2 in her final collegiate race placed her in the top third of the most competitive field she has faced.

The Bears will now turn their attention to Track and Field season which starts tomorrow in Winston-Salem.
