PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Senior Cross Country runner Domtila Kiplagat represented Lenoir-Rhyne on the national stage today, running a cold and wet 6k course in Pittsburgh at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. 

Kiplagat, a Kenyan native, was the South Atlantic Conference's Runner of the Year and qualified for Nationals by winning the individual crown at the conference meet. In a field of 264 of the best runners in all of Division II, Kiplagat finished 82nd. Despite falling short of All-American status, she was outstanding today as she was all season for the Bears.

Kiplagat's time of 24:17.2 in her final collegiate race placed her in the top third of the most competitive field she has faced.
