Team/Individual Results
Charlotte, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne's Cross County teams completed in the SAC Championship Saturday morning at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, N.C. The Men's team finished in 6th place with a total of 180 points while the Women finished in third place with a total of 96 points.
The Men were paced by two freshman leading the way for the Bears.
Jacob Parkinson came in 27th place with a time of 25:43.4 while
Lewis Budgen finished four seconds behind Jacob for 29th place. Sophomore
Harrison Hickman (39th) and Freshman
Noah Julian (40th) finished inside the top 40 as well for the Bears. Junior
Sean Incardona came in 45th place to finish the scoring for the Bears.
On the Women's Side, The Bears came in third place for the third straight SAC Championship.
Janet Kwambai picked up her second straight fourth place finish in the championship. Janet finished with a time of 21:29.1, a whole second faster then her 2019 time. The Bears had all five runners finish in the top 30 in the morning.
Kylie Dahlberg finished 14th with a time of 22:34, while
Kathrin Polke came in 22rd place with a 23.01.8.
Elizabeth Kessler (27th) and
Caroline Hilliard (29th) finished the scoring for the Bears.
The teams will now prepare for the NCAA Southeast Regionals on November 6th at Milliken Research Park in Spartanburg, S.C.
