Kwambai Earns All-American Honors At NCAA Championship

Tampa, Fl.-- Janet Kwambai earns All-American honors at the NCAA D2 Cross Country Championship Saturday morning. Kwambai finished 27th at the Abbey Course in Tampa, Florida to earn her first All-American selection. 

Kwambai finished with a time of 21:77.7 to finish in the top 40 to be selected as an All-American.  Kwambai had an impressive 5:43 pace time today. Head Coach Kevin Paterson said after the race, "Janet ran tough and fearless mixing it up with the best in the country to place 27th in the country for her first All-American Award."

Kwambai is the first Women's racer to qualify for the NCAA Championship since 2018 and just the second All-American in program history joining Kate Griewisch.
