Harrogate, Tenn. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball Team (22-14, 10-8) split a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader with Lincoln Memorial (23-11, 9-9) Saturday afternoon at Hennon Field. LMU took the first game by a 6-4 score while Lenoir-Rhyne won the nightcap, 10-5, in seven innings.

STATS OF THE GAME (Game 1):
• The Railsplitters hit four home runs – led by Chris Salvey (Folcroft, Pa.) with a pair of round-trippers – in the victory. Salvey drove in four runs as Lincoln Memorial used a four-run first inning to take control.
• Trailing by a 6-1 score entering the seventh frame, Lenoir-Rhyne plated three runs but couldn't get any closer. Junior outfielder
Justin Dean (Mauldin, S.C.) led the way with three hits, a double, a triple and an RBI in the loss.
• Lincoln Memorial's Joe Bobiak (Westville, N.J.) improved to 6-1 on the year after earning the victory while Marco Rios (Buena, N.J.) picked up his second save of the season. LR senior

Aaron Stamper (Clemmons, N.C.) hit the game-tying, two-run home run and finished with three runs batted in while junior first baseman
Matthew Freeman (Belews Creek, N.C.) hit a bases-clearing double as the Bears overcame a 4-1 deficit in the first inning.
• The Bears were able to win despite a grand slam in the first frame from the Railsplitters' Tyler Adams (Woodstock, Ga.).

John Grigg (Lawndale, N.C.) improved to 6-1 on the year after earning the win while senior
Landon Whitson (Marion, N.C.) pitched two scoreless innings in relief. Rios (4-1) took the loss for Lincoln Memorial.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The Bears have already equaled last year's win total.
• Dean, who scored three runs in the second contest, raised his team-leading batting average to .381.
