HICKORY, N.C. – The weather forced today's game to be moved from 6 p.m. on Saturday to 2 p.m. today but the Lenoir-Rhyne football team is ready to ring in the 2018 home schedule with a South Atlantic Conference matchup against Mars Hill. The game will still be streamed and you can listen to the radio call from JuJu Phillips and Jack Huss online.
THE BASICS:
- Lenoir-Rhyne is coming off an impressive 51-24 victory over North Greenville. LR was shut out in the first quarter but exploded for 51 points in the final three quarters.
- Xzavion Huff scored three touchdowns in the second quarter alone and finished with over 150 total yards.
- Mars Hill dropped a 27-9 decision against Shaw in their home opener on Saturday.
THE SERIES:
- Mars Hill owns a 24-19-1 advantage in the head-to-head series between the two programs.
- The Lions defeated LR by a final score of 43-21 on September 16, 2017.
