Box Score HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer Team fell in heart-breaking fashion by a final score of 2-1 on Wednesday evening against No. 3 Young Harris. This game was delayed due to weather but the rainy conditions would not hold the Bears and Mountain Lions off the field for long during this gritty and physical match at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex.

STATS OF THE MATCH:

Victor Cascon was the only Bear to find the back of the net during the match off the assist from
Goncalo Garcia.

Carlos Gomez was the force behind the victory for the Mountain Lions, as he scored both goals – the first of the match in the 24th minute to score his sixth of the season and to give Young Harris the early lead, followed by the game-winner in the 55
th minute that proved to be his seventh of the year.
• LR held a 11-9 advantage in shots and but YHC had the 4-3 edge in shots on goal. The Bears and Mountain Lions were tied in saves (2-2), corner kicks (3-3) and fouls (10-10). Only one yellow card was award on the night to Young Harris.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• Following the loss, the Bears have an even mark at home, 1-1, and on the road, 2-2.
• LR still has a hold of third place in the conference standings. The Bears trail Queens and Wingate who each sit at 2-0.
• Cascon is fifth in the South Atlantic Conference in points per game.
