GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team dominated from the start, defeating Tusculum on their home pitch, 3-1, on Wednesday night in South Atlantic Conference play.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
• Three different Bears were able to find the net in this one.
Judith Verdaguer put LR on top early in the 17
th minute, scoring her second goal on the young season.
Abbie Brown extended the Bears lead with her seventh goal of the season to give LR the commanding 2-0 lead heading into halftime. Tusculum's Sonja Ballmert hit her second of the year to cut the LR lead down to 2-1 in the 47
th minute. The Bears would not settle, and that led to a goal from the veteran
Hannah Van Eerden, her second of the season, to give LR the 3-1 lead in the 71
st minute of the contest.
• LR held a 12-10 advantage in shots and an 6-3 edge in shots on goal. The Pioneers had the 2-1 advantage in corner kicks, as well as a 3-2 lead in saves.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
• This marks the third straight win for Lenoir-Rhyne, matching their SAC record on the season to this point.

Abbie Brown holds the team lead and is third in the SAC with seven goals scored this season. She has managed to have taken the second highest shot total with 38 and second highest in points with 17.

Loren Sterling has been a brick wall in goal, as she ranks second in the conference with 33 saves on the young season along with an .805 save percentage, which is good for fifth in the SAC and finally finds herself fourth in the conference with a 0.96 goals against average.
