Hickory, N.C.-- No. 8 Lenoir-Rhyne will play Wingate Friday evening in a rematch of SAC rivals. This one will take place in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament and will be played at the Moretz Sports Athletic Complex at 6 p.m on Friday. 

Lenoir-Rhyne is coming off a 15-3 season in the SAC. LR won the SAC regular-season title but lost the in the semifinals of the conference tournament to eventual champions LMU. LR sports the SAC Offensive Player of the Year in Aqsa Mushtaq and the Coach of the Year in Gary Higgins. The Bears relied on one of the most prolific offenses in the SAC averaging 3.00 goals a game and shot on goal percentage of .502. The Bears also tallied a SAC leading seven All-Conference team players. LR is looking to remain unbeaten at home and move to 12-0 at Moretz Sports Complex. 

Wingate comes into this game 13-4-2 after finishing 2nd in the SAC regular-season standings and 2nd in the SAC tournament after falling 1-0 in the finals. Wingate is led by goalkeeper Abbey Frail who has third-highest save percentage in the SAC at .862 and tied for first in goals against at 11. 

This will mark the 36th matchup between both sides. LR holds the lead in the all-time series 19-12-4. LR has won the last three competitions.
