COACHES TAKE

"I'm pleased to see the ladies come through today," said Head Coach Tom Rees. "We had to adjust our doubles pairs and singles lineups at the last minute and I felt the ladies handled the transition well. We still have some things to work on before conference play so we are looking forward to our next few matches."

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Bears earned the doubles point with wins at the second and third spots. LR dropped first singles by a score of 6-4 but rallied for 6-3 and 6-2 wins respectively at the second and third lines.

Limestone's only point of the game came in first singles but LR breezed to wins in the rest of the spots. LR had straight set victories in third, fourth, fifth and sixth singles and Iulia Ponomareva won in a third set tiebreaker by the score of 2-6, 6-3 and 11-9.

This was the Bears first match in nine days as their past two matches were rained out. LR now boasts a 4-0 record against Conference Carolinas opponents.

The Bears return to action on March 1 when they take on Erskine in Hilton Head Island.
