Hickory, N.C. -- No. 16 Lenoir-Rhyne will play No. 20 North Georgia on Wednesday Sept. 25 in a battle of the undefeated.
Lenoir-Rhyne is 2-1-2 all-time against North Georgia. LR comes into this game 6-0 for the first time in program history. The last time these teams played each other was in 2016 which ended in a 1-1 tie.
Aqsa Mushtaq scored the lone goal for the Bears. LR is aiming for a seventh straight home victory on the season against North Georgia who is 4-0 on the season. North Georgia just came off a 1-0 win against No.13 Columbus State. Taylor Malasek leads the UNG Nighthawks with four goals on the season. The Nighthawks are only allowing 0.25 goals per game and shot on goal percentage of .343.
LR has had one of the most prolific offenses in the South Atlantic Conference this season. They have three players with 10+ points in
Aqsa Mushtaq (11 pts),
Hannah Van Eerden (11 pts), and
Abigael McGarel (10 pts). The Bears are outshooting their opponents 153 (78 SOG) - 38 (13 SOG). Not only has the offense big firing at high clip but LR's defense has also been stifling.

LR just recently swept the SAC Offensive and Defensive player of the week awards with Mushtaq and Warner claiming their first such honors this season.
