Rock Hill, S.C.—The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Soccer team has been selected to finish sixth in the 2020-21 South Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced this morning.
Wingate was selected to finish first with 10 first-place votes and 120 total points, Queens is right behind them with 103 votes and Carson-Newman picked up the other first-place vote for 102 points in total.
In addition,
Victor Cascon was selected to the 2020 All-SAC Preseason First team. Cascon is coming off a seven-goal season for the Bears, Cascon is heading into his senior year 6
th all-time in goals scored and 10
th in career points in LR history. Cascon also was named to the D2CCA Southeast All-Region First team in 2018.
The Bears will open their season with an exhibition game against Limestone at home on February 13 at 6:00 PM before starting their SAC schedule at Coker on February 25
th.
