ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne's Drue Galassi was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Baseball Player of the Week for games played during week six of the 2021 season, the Conference office announced today.
 
Galassi, a senior outfielder from Peoria, Ill., led the Bears to a 4-1 record, including a four-game sweep of SAC foe UVA Wise. He batted .450 for the week with a .542 on-base percentage and 1.200 slugging percentage. He belted four home runs, drove in eight runs, scored 12 runs, and had three doubles, while also stealing two bases.
 
This is Galassi's first Player of the Week honor this season.
