HARTSVILLE, S.C. - In their first competition of the year, the Lenoir-Rhyne women finished third at the SAC Preview at Hartsville Country Club. The Bears finished 11 shots behind champion Lincoln Memorial, and four shots behind second place Queens. The Bears tied with Wingate for third.
Individually,
Megan Robb finished strong with a round of 73 on Tuesday to lead the Bears with a total score of 150 to finish tied for fourth overall. Teammate
Katie Sibley was right behind her with a 151 to tie for seventh,
Beatriz Espelosin carded a 154 to tie for 15th,
Patricia Asensio shot 156 to tie for 18th and
Mackenzie Foyle came in 25th with a 165.
There were five SAC teams competing in this tournament along with the Bears, including Lincoln Memorial, Wingate, Queens, Newberry and host Coker.
The Bears' next tournament is the Lander Invitational at Savannah Lakes Golf Club in Greenwood, S.C. on September 27 and 28.
