Team/Individual Results
Salisbury, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Cross Country team opened their season with a first place finish at Saturday's Fleet Feet XC Invite hosted by Catawba College. The Bears won the 11-team event with a total of 30 points and a total time of 1:37.57.
The Bears had four of the top seven runners and eight of the top 20 on the day led by
Janet Kwambai who finished first overall with a time of 19.07.
Caroline Hilliard (3th),
Kylie Dahlberg (5th) and
Kathrin Polke (7th) also finished in the top 10 on the day.
On the men's side, the Bears finished 5th in the 12-team field with a score of 128 and a total time of 2:22:56.
Sean Incardona was the top finisher for LR with a 13th place finish.
Both teams will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday September 18th for a regional preview.
