Shena Hollar won her 900th career game with the 8-0 win against Southern New Hampshire in the first game on Friday afternoon.
Lauren Rakes picked up the win in game one and earned the save in game two as the Bears have now won four straight games and LR pitchers have not given up an earned run in the last 26 innings.

STATS OF GAME ONE:
- Bears got on the board first with three unearned runs in the bottom of the second. Kate Rackard extended her hitting streak to five games with an RBI single to bring in the third run in the inning.
- Rakes (3-1) got the start and pitched three innings and only allowed one hit and struck out six.
- Morgan Beeler came on in relief to throw two scoreless innings for the Bears out of the bullpen.
- LR added three runs in the bottom of the 4th with a Kylee Leonhardt SAC fly and a two-run single by Cassidy Wall.
- LR then ended the game in the bottom of the 5th when Rackard roped a double to left field scoring Rakes and Taylor Beard to end the game 8-0.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- Bears left off where they finished game one when the Bears jumped ahead with two runs in the bottom of the 1st. Leonhardt had an RBI double then Wall followed with an RBI single.
- After a fielding error for the Bears, the Penmen capitalize with an RBI single from Bella Dickinson and a Chloe Griffin sac fly. The runs snapped the Bears scoreless streak at 21 1/3 innings.
- Bears took the lead back with another Leonhardt sac fly scoring Moorefield in the bottom of the 3rd.
- Freshman Brooklin Heavner got her first career home start (2nd overall). Heavner went 4 2/3 innings allowing just two runs (0 earned) to earn her first career win.
- Rakes came in with the bases loaded and struck out Shannon Gilford on the 10th pitch of the at-bat. Rakes earned her second career save finishing the last 2 1/3 innings in relief.
- Bears added insurance runs in the fifth with Leonhardt's third RBI of the game when she singled to left field then Hannah Jennings added a two-run single up the middle to extend the lead to four.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Today was the first meeting in program history between these teams.
- Moorefield extended her hitting streak to eleven games to start the 2022 season.
- With four RBIs today, Leonhardt is now at 154 career RBIs, which moves her to 4th place all-time in program history.
- The wins were Coach Shena Hollar's 855th and 856th at LR (45 wins at Newberry).
- Hollar is one of nine active coaches in Division II with 900 plus wins.
