Charlotte, N.C.-- With her first swing of the day,
Kylee Leonhardt tied the program record with her 46th career home run then, with her last swing of the afternoon, she broke the record with her 47th career home run. Leonhardt broke Sarah Atkins mark that has been sitting at top of the record books since the 2012 season. Leonhardt hit two of the Bears' s seven home runs on the day as the Bears split with Queens on Tuesday afternoon.

STATS OF GAME ONE:
- Leonhardt's home run in the 1st was a two-out, two-run shot to give the Bears a 2-0 lead and was her fifth homerun of the season.
- Royals' Jordyn Thompson got one of the runs back with a solo homer in the bottom of the second. It was the freshman's fourth home run of the season.
- Lauren Rakes then helped herself with a solo shot to give the Bears a 3-1 lead after four.
- Royals then would use the long ball in the 5th inning to take a 4-3 lead with two bombs of their own.
- LR tied it in the 7th with a Cassidy Wall RBI double but the Royals walked it off it with two outs in the bottom of the 7th when Kayla Smith hit her second long ball of the day.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- After a three-hit game one, Julia Mardigian got the Bears going with her first career grand slam in the first to give the Bears an early 4-0 lead.
- Savannah Moorefield and Rakes added solo shots in the second and third innings to give the Bears a 6-0 lead.
- Lora Beth Wood got in the action with the teams sixth home run of the day and gave the Bears a 7-2 lead.
- Leonhardt then put herself at the top of the record books with her 47th career homerun and gave the Bears a 9-2 lead in the 7th.
- Royals added a couple runs in the 7th but Morgan Beeler picked up win number nine with a complete game in the circle. Beeler stuck out nine Royals on the afternoon.
- Five of the Bears eight hits in the game were home runs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The last time the Bears played at Queens (3/11/2020), Beeler threw her first career no-hitter as part of a Bears sweep
- Leonhardt's four RBIs on the day moves her total to 167 and is now tied for second all-time 23 behind Adkins program record
- Moorefield moves into third place with 182 career runs.
- Moorefield also moves into 5th place in total hits.
- Moorefield also stretched her on base streak to 29 games.
- Wall saw her 11 game hit streak snapped in the second game.
