Men's Cross Country Finishes Fourth in SAC Championship

Final Results

Newton, N.C.--- Hosting the SAC Championship for the first time in six years, the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Cross Country finished fourth in this years event. Jacob Parkinson earned first team all-conference accolades with his third-place finish while Lewis Budgen earned second team honors with his 11th place finish. The event took place at Southside Park in Newton. 

Wingate won the team title as the Bears finished behind the Bulldogs, Catawba and Anderson to earn a fourth place finish. Parkinson was the first non-Bulldog to finish as he ran a 23:03.77 on the morning.

Budgen finished thirty seconds later for his 11th place finish with a time of 23:33.90.  After Budgen, the Bears next finisher was Bastian Luthman in 32nd place with a time of 24:46.14. Garrison Fisher and Harrison Hickman rounded out the Bears scoring with a 53rd and 55th place finish.

The Bears will now get ready for the NCAA Southeast Regional that will be located in Gainesville, GA on November 4th.
