HICKORY, NC - For the third year in a row, the Bears reign supreme on their home course. Using rounds of 288-294-293 (875, +11), the Bears finished in first out of 16 teams. Rollins came in second, finishing seven strokes behind LR.
Holt Allison took home medalist honors, coming through with rounds of 69-74-70 to finish with a 213 (-3). He was one stroke ahead of King's Aasmund Norum, who shot a 214 (-2). This is Allison's second straight tournament victory, as he was victorious at the Flagler's Jay Jennison Cup a month ago. Joining Allison on the All-Tournament Team was
Sean Finan, who's rounds of 73-72-72 put him in a tie for fourth with a 217 (+1).
The Bears led the field with a 4.07 (+4) average on par-4's and a 4.63 (-9) average on par-5's.
This marks the first tournament win for
Tyler Jones, who was named the head coach prior to the season.
