Matthew McDougall both finished in the top-15 at the North Carolina Amateur, which was played at the Cardinal by Pete Dye in Greensboro, N.C. last weekend.
Allison, one of the most accomplished players in Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Golf history, tied for 10th with a four-round total of 281 (+1). The Conover native shot rounds of 73-71-66-71 with his third round 66 tying for the low round that day. McDougall finished just three strokes behind Allison with a total of 284 (+4). He was the lowest scoring current NCAA Division II golfer and his second round 65 was tied for the second lowest round in the tournament.Â
