HICKORY, N.C. -
Holt Allison, has been named to the PING All-American Honorable Mention team, as announced by the GCAA on Thursday.
Allison was an All-Southeast Region and All-SAC First Team honoree. He helped lead the Bears to their second straight NCAA Regional, where they took 12th out of 20 teams. As a team Lenoir-Rhyne finish ranked #22 in the country and posted eight top-five finishes, including a win at their own Lenoir-Rhyne Fall Invitational in October.
The Conover, N.C., native had a stellar senior season, finishing with seven top-10's in 11 events. He held a 70.7 adjusted scoring average and had two outright wins in the fall, as well as tying for first at the Bearcat Spring Invitational. He is ranked #22 in Division II and #7 in the region. On top of his collegiate rankings, Allison is ranked #638 in the world amateur golf rankings.
