HICKORY, NC - Following his tremendous senior campaign, defensive back Nic Cheeley has been named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 2 First Team. This comes after his All-SAC First-Team honor. 

Cheeley was a menace for quarterbacks this season tallying five interceptions and four pass breakups. Those five interceptions all came during a five game stretch that saw the Bears go 4-1. In addition to his pass defense, Cheeley notched 65 total tackles, 2.0 TFL, and a clutch forced fumble against Limestone. 

Due in part to his efforts, Cheeley and the Bears managed to qualify for their second straight NCAA DII Tournament, advancing to the second round after a thrilling first round victory over West Alabama.
