Hickory, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne University Department of Athletics is officially accepting Sports Hall of Fame nominations for the class of 2024.  The deadline to nominate is Monday, April 1.  

Hall of Famers must not have represented Lenoir-Rhyne as student-athletes for 10 years immediately preceding the date of their induction and cannot be full-time members of the LR staff at the time of their induction.  

The Sports Hall of Fame is accepting nominations in the category of 'Contributor'. The contributor is defined as any individual, living or deceased, who has made unique and extraordinary contributions to the Lenoir-Rhyne University athletics program. These inductees may include coaches and athletic staff members, distinguished alumni, friends of Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics, and other individuals who are not necessarily eligible as a Student-Athlete Inductee. Eligibility as a Student-Athlete Inductee shall not disqualify an individual for consideration as a Contributor.

Additionally, the nomination for 'Team of Distinction' is new with just one team being selected.
