Men's Soccer puts six on All-Conference team

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne men's soccer team placed six on the 2025 South Atlantic Conference All-Conference team. They were tied with Emory & Henry for the second most individuals on the team. Conference champion Anderson led the way with nine. 

After being named to the All-SAC Second Team a year ago, Raul Canas makes his first appearance on the All-SAC First Team. He has four goals and one assist this year, scoring the game winning goal against Tusculum in a 2-1 win on November 1st. Defender Guillermo Garcia, a Third Team member last year, makes his first appearance on the All-SAC First Team. He is the anchor of a defense that allowed just 14 goals this season and posted six shutouts. He was also the SAC Offensive Player of the Week after a one-goal, two assist performance in the season opener against Belmont Abbey. 

Hector Taboada, Jonas Moos, and Tomas Fontes were named to the All-SAC Second Team. Taboada leads the Bears with 14 points, coming off six goals and two assists. Moos and Fontes help make up one of the top defenses in the SAC, allowing just 10 goals in SAC play. Fontes' 0.93 goals allowed average ranks third in the SAC. 

Newcomer Xairo Villalon was the lone Bear on the All-SAC Third Team. He tallied two goals and three assists this season, scoring both goals in a key 3-0 wn over Mars Hill on October 15th.
